Privacy policy

This policy covers ClearGen Water and the website at https://www.cleargenwater.com. It describes what we collect, why, and how to get it removed.

What we collect

What you give us. When you request a water test we collect your name, phone number, the service you asked about, and anything else you type into the form.

If you apply to work with us. Through our careers page we collect your name, phone number, email, trade, the city you work from, anything you write in the form, and whether you agreed to receive text messages, with the date, time and page of that agreement.

What your browser sends. The page you were on, the page that referred you, your approximate location from your IP address, your device and browser type, and any campaign tags in the link you arrived on — including the click identifiers that advertising platforms attach to their own ads.

What we record as a customer. Test results, appointments, quotes, installation details and payment status. We do not store card numbers; payments are handled by a payment processor.

How we use it

To contact you about your water test and your results, to schedule and complete work, to send service and appointment messages, and to measure which advertising actually produces customers so we are not spending money on ads that do not work.

We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising and analytics

We advertise on platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. To know which ads lead to real customers, we share limited information with those platforms about actions taken on this site and about jobs that result from them — for example that a form was submitted, an appointment was booked, or work was completed, along with its value.

Where this includes information that could identify you, such as an email address or phone number, it is cryptographically hashed before it is sent, so the platform can match it against an existing record without receiving the original value from us.

Some of this is sent from your browser and some from our own servers. Both are described here so that turning off browser tracking does not leave you with a misleading picture of what happens.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and your browser's local storage to keep the site working, to remember which ad or search brought you here so that credit goes to the right place, and to measure advertising. Your browser can block or delete cookies; the form and the rest of the site will still work if you do.

Text messages and calls

By submitting the water test form you agree that we may call or text you about your request. Careers applicants are texted only if they tick the separate text consent box. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Full details are in our SMS terms.

Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop messages about an appointment or job already scheduled. You can also ask us to stop calling using the contact details below.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The only exception is the service providers that deliver our messages for us (such as our SMS platform), which may use it only to send those messages. Every category of sharing described anywhere in this policy excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

Your privacy rights

Colorado residents have the right under the Colorado Privacy Act to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of their personal data, and toopt out of targeted advertising. Residents of other states may have similar rights. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.

To opt out of targeted advertising, contact us using the details below and say so. You can also limit ad tracking in your browser settings, and Meta and Google each provide their own ad preference controls.

We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Deleting your data

To have your personal information deleted, contact us by either of these and say you want your data deleted:

Include the name and phone number you used so we can find your record. We will confirm and complete the request within 45 days. We may keep the minimum required for tax, warranty or legal obligations, and will tell you if that applies.

If you reached us through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, this is also how to have that information removed.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become customers are kept while they are still a live prospect and then removed. Customer records are kept for the life of the warranty and as long as tax and business records require.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
